THINK SYSTEM PRODUCTIONS’ mission is to create new, engaging and socially relevant creative works for all entertainment platforms, including theatre, film, TV, and publishing.

We’re attracted to properties that make powerful, emotional and/or social statements. Projects currently in development include the new musicals BEFORE I’M 12, RUTKA and THE GREAT DEBATE, as well as a TV series to be announced in the coming months. Currently available are the graphic novels MELTDOWN and IDOLIZED.

FOR AUDIENCES, we always seek to create experiences that cause them to think about their world and their lives differently than they did when they first entered the theatre, turned on the TV, or picked up the book. FOR CREATORS, we seek to create an atmosphere of open communication, collaboration and tremendous creative support, where all voices are heard and valued, and where the entire team can work together and contribute towards creating the extraordinary.

THINK SYSTEM PRODUCTIONS was formed by Producer, Writer & Entertainment Attorney DAVID B. SCHWARTZ, and Producer, Performer & Writer AMY LANGER. In addition to collaborating on THINK SYSTEM PRODUCTIONS projects together, David and Amy are married, and met when they were in the 7th grade performing together in the Southwood Jr. High production of THE MUSIC MAN.

The company’s name comes from THE MUSIC MAN character Harold Hill’s “Think System” for learning to play music: “think the notes, and then play the notes”. At TSP, we take thoughts and ideas for new projects, and make them into reality.

Separate and apart from his work at THINK SYSTEM, DAVID SCHWARTZ is Assistant General Counsel at The Walt Disney Company, where he works on the cutting edge of distribution platforms for movies and TV shows. As part of his work at Disney, David has negotiated highly complex, industry-leading distribution deals with a diverse set of companies, including Netflix, Apple, Amazon, Google, Hulu, HBO, Showtime, Starz and many more, licensing out Disney’s film and TV content, including movies and/or TV series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, ABC, Disney Channel and more. The deals David handles have pushed envelopes, changed paradigms, helped to alter the way in which people access content, and generated massive revenue. Most recently, David helped to spearhead the formation of Disney’s new “Movies Anywhere” service, negotiating deals to bring together 5 major studios (Disney, Fox, Sony, Universal and Warner Bros.) and 4 of the largest digital retailers (Amazon, Apple, Google and VUDU), for the launch of this unprecedented movie sharing service. Separately, as a writer, his graphic novels have received a tremendous number of accolades, including various reviewers describing his work as “genius”, and “brilliant”. David previously co-wrote and co- produced an award-winning independent feature film and served as a writer on several TV series.

AMY LANGER is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association. She’s performed in numerous stage productions both domestically and internationally. Her favorite roles include Diana Morales in A CHORUS LINE (European and National tours) and Anybody’s in WEST SIDE STORY (European Tour and Regional). Her experience as a performer has provided her with a keen understanding of the creative process. Amy is now a producer who has joined forces with her husband, David Schwartz, to launch Think System Productions. She is an alumnus of the Commercial Theatre Institute’s 3-day intensive and 14-week commercial producing seminars. She has produced cabarets both domestically and internationally, in addition to large-scale events and galas in Los Angeles and Miami. She co-founded a musical theatre training program for kids in Manhattan Beach, CA, and co-produced, choreographed and assistant directed numerous shows there. Realizing that her heart still belonged in New York, she moved back via a bizarre, ten-day RV trip with her family and wrote an upcoming memoir about it called KICKING UP DUST.
